I worked at Florida Farm Bureau Insurance full-time (More than 5 years)
Great co-workers across the state and a phenomenal manager
Good pay and benefits
Flexible work schedule
Overload on claims, working average 65+ hours to keep up with incoming
Constant coverage for sick or vacations which added to workload and drivetime
New claims system is awful and very slow
Advice to Management
Get rid of new claims system
Hire floaters in each district to handle overflow and sick/vacation
More involvement of field staff in decision making as upper management are out of touch with reality of claims handling
I applied through other source. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Florida Farm Bureau Insurance (Orlando, FL) in May 2012.
I had three 1 on 1 interviews with the local area manager and 1 with the region manager. I was asked to complete an on line "Personality/Sales Aptitude Test" and was also required to submit a business pan
I was very pleased with the offer. The manager has the ability to assign you a book of business ranging in the 35k - 45k range, you are paid monthly as the business renews.
