I have been working at Food Safety Net Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They hire fresh graduates, everyone who works there is very bright, no drama, very flexible with scheduling, everyone is fairly young <30 y/o, great experience, you'll learn a lot, helps build an impressive resume-- I was originally put off by the reviews on this site prior to taking the job, but I'm glad to say at our lab at least it's not nearly as bad as everyone else made it out to be.

    Cons

Not too much room for advancement, the pay is low despite most employees having a bachelors/masters, random drug testing (when you're only making 30k a year it's hard to allow an employer to overrule the private property issue which is our own bodies as long as it's outside the work place), you sometimes have to stay late but it's rarely <1 hr

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Food Safety Net Services in September 2016.

    Interview

It was interesting. It was a bunch of corporate questions that had little to nothing to do with the position, but rather, something I would expect when I applied to a restaurant. Nothing technical was asked. There were no skill assessments. I was honestly surprised at how easy it was. It concluded with a tour of the lab.
