Best Places to Work: 2018 (#46)
I have been working at Formlabs full-time (More than a year)
Formlabs is great for so many reasons: The community is open and welcoming. You are surrounded by motivated, hard-working peers who support each other and push their limits in the best way possible. The work is hard but fun, and the learning opportunities are not comparable to any place I've worked. You can get involved with so many different projects and teams, and no matter what you're role is, you are working cross-functionally with so many different personalities and perspectives.
Growth is bittersweet. We seem to be moving in a positive direction, but there will always be ups and downs to nearly doubling in size each year. Management is actively working on ways to input processes that will scale with our growth, but often it can't and won't be done fast enough or well.
Advice to Management
I know this is being worked on, but more people in leadership roles that can implement change effectively, would be very helpful.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Formlabs (Cambridge, MA) in March 2018.
Firstly apply online or via employee referral. The first stage is Material team leader; second stage would be CPO; final stage would be CEO, Formlabs CEO interviews EVERY engineer by himself.
