Our Company is Our People
At Four Foods Group, we take great pride in being a job creator. We know that employment provides the opportunity to improve lives and we work closely with every newly hired employee to help boost their confidence and passion for improvement and self-mastery.
We’ve challenged the status quo. We’ve created a unique model of proven success. We’ve thrived while others have had difficulty growing.
And we’re only getting started.
How It All Began
In 2008, Andrew and Shauna Smith embarked on their first experience with restaurant ownership. Of course, nobody was surprised.
After all, the Smiths' passion for quality food and great restaurants was well known to their friends and business associates alike. The Smiths were both a married couple and a couple of “foodies.”
For this new culinary adventure, Andrew and Shauna chose Kneaders Bakery and Café, a Fast Casual restaurant that was famous for its European breads baked daily in onsite hearthstone ovens, homemade sandwiches, fresh soups and salads, gourmet pastries, breakfast items, smoothies and seasonal beverages – all made to order.
For many years, Kneaders Bakery and Café had been an immensely popular restaurant in Utah County, but it had yet to grow beyond that area. And as Andrew and Shauna opened their first location, they began to develop big plans to grow this Utah Valley staple to new levels.
The Founding of Four Foods Group
Drawing from a successful background in technology, marketing, sales, and finance, Andrew challenged himself to figure out a better way to develop a multi-unit restaurant chain company with efficiencies that would ensure profits.
As he and Shauna operated their first restaurant, Andrew developed an innovative partnership model that would not only benefit Four Foods Group and its shareholders and investors but their operator-partners as well. Equity has been issued to each and every partner of each and every restaurant that Four Foods Group owns and operates. This has ensured consistent hands-on ownership at all levels of the business.
In early 2009, after successfully operating their first Kneaders Bakery & Café for a period of six months, Andrew and Shauna approached the founders of Kneaders to form a long-standing partnership. An exclusive multi-state development agreement was executed between Four Foods Group and GCW Corporation, parent company to Kneaders Bakery & Café. In 2015, an additional 15 states West of the Mississippi were granted to Four Foods Group to develop up to 110 new Kneaders Bakery & Cafe restaurants over the next 5 years.
Since 2008, Four Foods Group has experienced rapid growth, every single year. We began with one store and now operate 100 + across eight states, with 11 more under development. In fact, same-store sales year over year continue to trend upward, even as the market in many sectors remains flat.
This growth is a testament to Four Foods Group’s ability to navigate the competitive waters, negotiate the right real estate locations, and attract the most competent individuals, both at headquarters and within each restaurant.
When we began, we created a unique financial structure that continues to fuel our staggering growth today. With the use of private funding, local community bank financing, and company profits, we’ve created a proven model of sustainable growth with no end in sight.
We continue to employ this creativity and ingenuity as we actively seek additional sites, operators, brands, and employees that will continue this pattern of growth into 2018 and 2019.
Today, Four Foods Group is laser-focused with multiple brands under its belt with more under contract. With an existing 131 restaurants and more than 15 restaurants in development, Four Foods Group plans on operating more than 200 restaurants by end of 2018.
And we need more good people!
We’re a growing team and we’re always on the lookout for strong players. If you, or someone you know, could be a possible candidate to partner and operate one of our restaurants, please contact us, or submit your information via our online application.

I have been working at Four Foods Group full-time
People are very nice and the opportunities to climb your way up to new positions are endless.
So many different concepts so there is much to learn
Hours are very flexible
Pay is much lower than what other places would pay you to do your job
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Four Foods Group (American Fork, UT) in March 2017.
This experience was one for the books the interview atmosphere was professional but felt like home.
They were super positive and fun to interview with. I was a little nervous but with the atmosphere they fostered it was a very positive experience.
