I worked at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold full-time (More than a year)
I really liked working for the company. The people that I worked with were very helpful and nice. True that they have expectations, but they are also very patient in training you. As long as you are willing to put in the effort, you will succeed.
Living in a mining town can be rough for some people, especially for those who are from big cities. It really takes time to get used to it.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold in March 2017.
I was interviewed by a small panel from different locations which had openings for a chemistry intern. The interview took about 30 minutes and consisted mostly of questions and answers. Everyone was very friendly and professional.
