Advice to Management
Develop aptitude for letting contractors go, as contractors breathe the same air you do. 20 minute notice on a Friday morning is a pretty low level DB manager move.
The company is a spin off from Symyx. Many employees are transferred. The process is generally OK. You do a presentation to people and some tough questions. Requirements for high throughput technology or automation is required. The pay is a little bit low but close to average in bay area.
