I have been working at Fullscreen Media full-time
Fullscreen is a great place to work! I am happy to work here and look forward to seeing how the company continues to grow. From an HR standpoint, it's exciting to see (and be a part of) all of the great things being put in place to add continuous improvement!
- Flexible work schedule (can work from home a couple days if I want)
- Lots of opportunities and room for growth career-wise
- Management is great (smart, give & seek feedback, provide guidance if requested, etc.)
- Great team & people
- "Use What You Need" vacation policy!
- Great culture & company values that I definitely agree with
- Fun events like happy hours, Fullscreen cup, beach clean ups, etc.
- Great perks - unlimited snacks, bikes for rent, in-office massages, nutritionist one on ones, on-site gym, dog days & catered lunch on Fridays, and much more
Honestly, don't see too many cons. The only thing I can think of is that because we are growing at such a fast rate (and because the company does so many different things), there can sometimes be some growing pains or grey areas in regards to responsibilities (i.e. who is doing what, what are the priorities, etc.). However, this is something that is consistently improving in every way and is also something that likely all companies experience who are growing at a fast pace.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing! Additionally, continue working on improving top down communication with employees and confirming company priorities. I think there are a lot of great things in place already but would love to see efforts in this area continue.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fullscreen Media (Los Angeles, CA).
Initially, the recruiter reached out via email for a phone screening. Followed up by an on-site visit a week later. The process of communicating with the recruiter was very unprofessional and inconsistent.
After going for the on-site interview, I have not heard back from the company for almost 5-6 weeks. An advice to the recruiter and the hiring manager - if you're not interested in the candidate don't ghost them. It is common courtesy to reach out or responds to their follow-up email. It leaves the candidate a sour taste of your company and culture.
