I have been working at Fundera full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company culture is excellent, and the people who work here are really great as well. It's a company that is doing well financially and that you can feel good working for at the same time. Great Senior leadership as well.

The main tenant of the company revolved around truly helping and caring for our customers, and the company really shows it cares about its employees as well.

From a more tech-centric perspective, it is a very communicative and collaborative environment. There is good discussion on standards, best practices, style, etc. and everyone has a voice.

    Cons

Some engineering folk want to feel special above all other departments in a company, but thats not how it works here. I would not say it is a tech-centric company at this point(although I don't think that is a bad thing). The company is focused on doing the right thing to solve the problem at hand, and does a good job balancing between departments. That might turn off some die-hard techies, but I think its a bit refreshing.

Its a company that is growing, and the normal growing pains and annoyances with putting structures/systems in place and getting that all figured out is happening, but I think the company is getting there for sure.

    Advice to Management

Hiring is hard, but keep pushing to hire more of the same kind of passionate people on the tech side that will keep us moving in the right direction.

    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Fundera (New York, NY) in January 2020.

    Interview

Applied on college career site. Received an invite to interview with recruiter, who seemed eager to bring me in to the office. Recruiter was nice but seemed a bit inexperienced and did not really ask too many detailed questions. At the onsite interview I interviewed with 4 different managers.

Pros - Really cool office space and startup vibe. People around the office seemed very friendly and enjoyed their job. Three out of the four managers I spoke with were very nice people that seemed genuinely interested in my background.

Cons- One of the managers was a bit rude and rushed my interview. Also does not seem like they know what they are looking for in terms of sales. Looks like they renamed the SDR role as an AE role in order to recruit more people, however did not seem like they wanted to hire someone entry-level (like myself) for the position.

Heard back in a few days from the recruiter that the company was going in a different direction. I politely asked for feedback because I am in college and trying to land my first post-grad job, however the recruiter ghosted me. Not a good impression to leave a candidate with.
