    Easy Interview

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Fundserv (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in November 2015.

HR phone interview if short listed you go to first round interview with hiring manager and HR lady, if short listed then you go to round 2 interview. They don't seem to know how to interview people. The HR lady looked in-experienced and asked canned questions. The hiring manager seemed bored to tears and uninterested. After asking questions, there would be heavy sighs. Claims were made about the job which I found out later from the recruitment agency are not true.

    Interview Questions

    • Your resume is quite impressive and you've had continuous work through the years....So, tell me about yourself? I can't believe this question is still used in interview processes. #1 question never to ask a person you are interviewing. This is very old and out dating way of interviewing people. If you read the resume, you would have focused on specific skills and experiences and asked me to elaborate.   Answer Question
    • What is one of your biggest weaknesses? Inexperienced interviewer question. #3 question never to ask a person you are interviewing. This is very old and out dating way of interviewing people.   Answer Question
    • What kind of manager do you feel makes a good manager? Really? Why? Is the manager a problem? I don't get a good feeling here. Thinking twice about this job now with this question.   1 Answer
    • Q You've worked a lot of contracts, why? If you look at my resume, you will have noticed that the number of years I worked full-time far out weigh the number of years working on contracts. Companies are forever laying people off from full-time jobs, we have to survive so we take contacts until we find a full-time opportunity. When you get laid off, you will understand how it works and then your resume will look like mine if you are lucky enough to get hired.   1 Answer
