I have been working at GE Energy Connections full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great pay and incentives, I have a lot of respect from my boss, great work from home options and benefits. Are usually pretty flexible in you living where ever you want in the country.

    Cons

Work life balance is great but is a double-edged sword. They give unlimited vacation as long as your job is done. My boss is a yes-man to anyone more senior than him. The company is incredibly founded in their ways, slow to change, and put way too much stock in seniority.

    Advice to Management

Take more seriously the recommendations coming from your employees. You have sales people telling you exactly what they need and you contradict their needs by providing something different. You have sales support functions working in your CRM telling you what sucks and nothing is done about it.

    Contracts Manager Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at GE Energy Connections (Houston, TX) in December 2016.

    Interview

Job description was very broad and open, which I think was done on purpose. Had to do homework and prep for the interview. Had 2 quick calls, and a face-to-face with 2 managers and the head of HR.
