Different working situations daily, the ability to develop meaningful work relationships with staff, the opportunity to grow as a person is available.
The pay could be more competitive with the position because the clients being given care are the same throughout the corrections system and the environment doesn't change by much if any means. The use of uniforms would save employees their hard earned money and promote a team atmosphere.
Advice to Management
Really re-evaluate who you hire and how you utilize these people.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GEO Care in August 2012.
The hiring and interview process was well develop. The questions were detailed and job related. They want to ensure they hired the right individual for the job. The interview focus on security in a medical environment.
The biggest thing that we went into negotiations was salary and benefits.
