I worked at GFT (More than a year)

    Pros

The Grand Rapids office was very nice. Good people and challenging work. Great vacation policy, benefits and perks. Management was very approachable.

    Cons

Not a lot of room for career growth. Worked some late days. Overall I don't have a lot of bad things to say about the work experience.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Give employees a chance to receive promotions within the company Let them advance skills with training or conferences specializing in their job function.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GFT (Grand Rapids, MI).

    Interview

The hiring process was very normal for web development interviews. The first interview was a phone conversation with a light discussion of history and personality. A follow up in person interview covered light technical questions. Most of the discussion was around particular technologies and a quick overview of basic features of the language used. The follow up interview was with the team I was to work with.

    Interview Questions

    • There weren't any truly unexpected questions. This was a very standard interview.   Answer Question
