    Pros

    If you are smart and want to grow with a company that supports you, if you want to work for a company that wants and listens to your opinions, and doesn't have all of the political layers and bureaucracy that larger companies have where you feel lost in the masses, this is a great company to work for. The people are fantastic and supportive and the philosophy is to make sound decisions, develop and maintain long term relationships, and grow the business for the benefit of all.

    Cons

    The work environment is more demanding than in year's past. Employees are expected to do more, have opinions they can support, and find solutions. Employees are given more ownership of their work and those that excel are rewarded, but the expectations of all have grown and not everyone can or is willing to meet the challenge.

    Advice to Management

    Keep communicating with employees so that those that fear or are challenged by the idea of change understand how important and necessary it is for survival.

    I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at GNY Insurance Companies (East Brunswick, NJ) in April 2017.

    Interview

    I originally applied through a referral and within a couple of days I received a phone call from HR providing me with information of the company and the role itself. I was then setup with an interview for the next following week. I met with 3 individuals during the interview and the interview went well. A lot of it was more conversational.
