    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GR0 (United States) in Sep 2022

    Interview

The interview process went WAY better than I expected. My first interview was mid-august and the last was in the first week of September, but I think the length depends on your/their availability. The whole process realistically would take 3-4 weeks. They asked both technical and on-page SEO questions, and questions about communication and behavioral habits. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly friendly and personable, making the interview process very conversational and comfortable.
    1. Screening interview - I spoke with Mel! She was a delight through the entire process and was able to answer any questions I had, and followed up after each round to talk through things.
    2. Assessment - This look me ~1 hr, but the variety of questions was interesting and definitely allowed for a gauge of my knowledge of SEO, client communication, etc.
    3. Initial Interview - I had a panel with a few members who asked some SEO and behavioral questions. Everyone was extremely conversational. It was super easy to keep the conversion open and I never felt like I was being hammered with questions just for the sake of it.
    4. Panel Interview - This interview was also a panel with more people directly in the SEO departments. Again, everyone was so nice and personable. I had to prep a presentation for this round, which wasn't bad, and presenting it to the team was super easygoing. They answered any questions I had and asked relevant questions about keyword research/client communication. I left this call feeling very good about the role and the culture at the company.
    5. CEO connect - I had a ~20-minute call with Kevin, who seems like a GREAT CEO. It's evident he cares about the culture and his employees as people and works diligently to drive growth to Gr0. It's not often you meet CEOs who are involved in the interview process like this - he's personable, cares about his employees and future ones, and truly believes that you should care about the person first vs. treating someone as only an employee. I liked that Kevin really cares about your 'why' for working for them and/or leaving your current company. There's no wonder why Gr0's CEOs are named in the top CEOs for women.
    Interview

Q: Process for keyword research, a time when I handle a difficult challenge at work and how it was resolved, on-page and off-page SEO questions, what SEO tools I use, tools used to stay organized, etc.
