Design Manager is great and competent
Boring, not much development in career
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gala Coral Group (London, England (UK)) in September 2017.
Originally applied for a different position on the Gala Coral Careers page. Within a few minutes, I was contacted to take part in an online video interview. For this they give you 4 questions to answer with a chance to redo an answer but you can only do this once per question. Questions were why coral? When have you had to meet a sales target? When have you gone above and beyond for a customer? Tell me something not on your CV. Within a few days I received a phone call from the HR department inviting me to an interview for a different store(closer to home so I didn't mind). Attended the interview on Monday where I had to do a maths test first (just simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). I passed that stage and had a one to one with the store manager. Similar questions as the video interview. Once finished, he told me I would hear by the end of the day but I didn't hear back until the next day that I had made it to the second stage. I came into the store the same day and had to try sell scratchcards and sign someone up for the coral connect card. I couldn't even sell 1 for the hour that I was there. I heard back two days later that I got the job surprisingly. I think it's because I made friends with some of the customers every time I was there.
