I worked at Galen Technology Solutions full-time (More than a year)
The salaries of in house staff can sometimes be a little higher than market
*The insurance benefits package is terrible (for a family, monthly costs average above $1000 a month) **Management is task oriented so the only opinion that counts is the opinion of management. If you have a problem with having your hand held (shackled would be a better comparison) through every step of every process (negotiations, offers, interviews, sales techniques, RFP EVERYTHING is scrutinized ***Staff meetings are painful to sit through; employees are habitually called out by management, put on the spot, humiliated and chastised for doing their jobs even if they're bringing in business or closing deals just because protocol doesn't match the heartless method of doing business as management prefers ****Pay rates and compensation offered to "product" (aka candidates for jobs) that fills the jobs are way below market rates because of the huge margins that management needs to pad figures for capital management / banks *****There is an enormous amount of nepotism in the company. If you're related to management, you'll have all your bills paid, a guaranteed job whenever you need, and fully paid benefits... if not, say your prayers and pucker up
Advice to Management
Try to actually consider the advice of your employees instead of thinking you're infallible. That method of thought will ONLY lead to bankruptcy and failure. It's not the 1980's anymore and this is post bubble business so smarten up and stop being so idiotic.
