    Pros

Working at Gatekeeper feels like getting your life back. The flexibility of working remote means that you're not "balancing" work and life - it shouldn't be about balancing. The two are in sync.

The freedom, trust, and autonomy to do your work without needing to be micromanaged is a real pleasure. Management are kind, empathetic, and value the lives and opinions of every single person at Gatekeeper. This example has created a team of people who all work together, support one another, and dedicate themselves to creating a wonderful company and product.

The product is also absolutely second to none. It is consistently, transparently developed, and developed with a 'customer first' attitude. It's not just about raising the value of the product for money, but about working to make Gatekeeper a solution that improves the life and work of every single customer.

    Cons

Part of building a world-class product and organization means that Gatekeeper only hires the very best. As such, if you're not willing to come in and work hard to be and stay the best at what you do, then this might not be the place for you. Nobody flies 'under the radar' here.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Gatekeeper in September 2019.

    Interview

Initial introductory video call of 15 mins, then another one hour video call, both with the hiring manager. Then a live role play over a video call with an existing sales rep and a submission of a recording for a technical demo. Finally there would have been a call with the founder but I didn't get this far.

    Interview Questions

    • The usual questions you get asked interviewing for sales roles: previous experience, quota, performance, average deal sizes you worked on, etc. The one thing that was asked that is perhaps a bit more unusual is that you are comfortable working remotely as it's 100% remote.   2 Answers
