Mission: To fuel online conversations that catch fire by creating the most engaging content on the internet.
I have been working at Gateway Blend full-time (More than 3 years)
Gateway invests in their employees, both through time and resources. Benefit packages are very competitive, with a strong health insurance package.
The team is structured in such a way that you can obtain the ear of a supervisor when needed, either to express a concern, or to provide innovative ideas.
We work hard, but also play hard, which helps build camaraderie with other employees.
Building location is in downtown Clayton is less than ideal, because most eateries and shops nearby are on the pricier end.
Advice to Management
Continue efforts to invest in your employees; we love working here and appreciate being appreciated!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Gateway Blend (Austin, TX) in September 2015.
I was contacted by a recruiter and came in for a one-on-one interview a couple days later. It was pretty laid-back and pretty apparent that I probably would be hired from the get-go. While I was asked a few questions about my education and experience, it was primarily an introduction/pitch of the company. I was sent a formal application that afternoon and was then sent an offer letter via email the next day.
Reasons for Declining
Ultimately it wasn't the work experience I wanted to gain, and the pay I was offered was low (13.75/hour) along with abnormal hours due to working with newspaper deadlines.
