I have been working at Geek Squad full-time (More than 3 years)
Geek Squad is an amazing beginner IT field to start with. It teaches you problem solving fundamentals, plenty of windows computer work and if you like helping people, when you're good you'll be able to help people incredibly well.
Sometimes it's hard to get a bonus because it's based on the entire stores performance. So if geek squad (and you) preform amazingly, if the store fails as a whole you don't get a bonus. But if you're in a good location you can get good stuff.
Advice to Management
Pay attention to what increased your employees moral pay wise. It's demoralizing to employees when they perform extremely well for the entire year and you refuse them a raise. Pay increase is the main reason an employee might stay for another year. Bottom level employees give the most to the company but have the most to lose from high ranking decisions.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Geek Squad (Nashua, NH) in November 2017.
Deal-breaker. 15 minutes. Surprised. Learned job was falsely advertised when asking about compensation. Said seasonal $13/hr till after holidays, got an offer, so I changed my mind afterwards. Waste of time for both parties. They just wanted hands for the holidays.
