Mission: It is our mission to enhance quality of life through an integrated health service organization based on a balanced program of patient care, education, research and community service.
Geisinger is redefining the healthcare experience for older adults with our new program LIFE, Living Independence for the Elderly. The program aims to help patients maintain high quality of life while providing healthcare in the comfort of patients' own homes. Every Geisinger employee has their own reasons for choosing Geisinger. For Angie Nardi, RN, “The team is like a family. We’re all highly skilled, like-minded and work very closely together.” Read more about what motivates Angie and her fellow employees as they share their own Geisinger stories: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQIiv
There’s a reason Geisinger is a national model of integrated healthcare. It begins with our people: about 30,000 employees who, like you, share an unwavering commitment to innovation, quality and the highest level of patient care.
We want you to love what you do and to help us continue to transform healthcare for our region and nation. We are among the nation’s top 15 health systems by Truven Health Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) and we are named one of the 100 great places to work in healthcare by Becker’s Hospital Review.
As part of the Geisinger family, you join a tradition of service that is deeply rooted in the personal and professional well-being of our employees. We believe in the right balance between life and work, as well as the importance of feeling fully appreciated and satisfied at the end of each day. Our employees are rewarded with competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, compensated vacation time and holidays, a 401(k) plan and more.
I worked at Geisinger full-time
Great mission and vision to do what's right for patients; innovative approach to solving healthcare problems; phenomenal work-live balance
Politics in a physician-driven organization can get complicated and cause turbulence
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Geisinger (Camp Hill, PA) in September 2017.
I was very nervous but people were so friendly. Very helpful staff in Human Resources and the interview process went smoothly. I also received a Benefits enrollment guide and the explanation of the onboarding process.
