Sound Interesting?
Gemini promotes healthy work-life balance by offering a desirable work schedule, monthly out of office get-togethers such as softball tournaments, game nights, and camping trips. "Gemini follows the court holidays and includes some of their own so you have time to spend with family, friends, and co-workers outside of work.
Gemini believes in a healthy flow of communication which we foster by promoting an open door policy from supervisors all the way up to the CEO. This helps employees feel comfortable approaching any member of management with ideas, concerns, and suggestions for improvement. Gemini loves to hear and implement the ideas of the people who do the important work of the company. Our favorite word is Kaizen, which is Japanese for continuous improvement. In an industry like ours, a focus on continuous improvement helps us stay competitive and on top of trends.
I worked at Gemini Duplication full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
Gemini was my first office job that fostered a healthy, comforting, exciting environment. From the day you are hired they give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with their culture(family). Upper management is friendly, considerate, and interacts with their employees unlike other businesses. HR has a very fair open door policy that allows for employees the flexibility and comfort to reach out to them. I believe pay is fair, especially for the entry level position. They are very generous and are making a concisous effort to raise pay for all employees. Additionally, they actively gathering employee feedback, take note of it, and take action. While only working here a short 9 months I have witnessed twice, changes from the employee surveys be made. Overall, I loved working here, I loved the new friends I made, and I loved the level of care that upper management puts into their employees.
Cons
There aren't very many, but one con would be the way training is handled. I would have liked a solid two weeks to have gotten acquainted with the order entry process and orders. I do believe that would have made for a stronger start.
Advice to Management
Continue listening to employees, continue working toward your goal of making Gemini a company that people want to work for, and lastly continue to welcome new hires with open arms.
Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Gemini Duplication.
Interview
Two different interviews. First you have a one on one interview over the phone. The phone interview was not too long about 10-15 minutes. Then the next interview is in person. This also wasn't too long about 35-40 minutes or so. The interview is not hard at all. As long as you prepare yourself then you should be all good to go! Preparation is key.
