    I applied online. I interviewed at Genesys (Indianapolis, IN) in Oct 2020

    Interview

    I applied on-line, and the interview process involved three stages. It was all remote, thanks to Covid-19. First, I talked to a recruiter over the phone; he asked general questions about my background, skills, and interests and gave me information about the company. Next, I had a Zoom meeting with a team member where we talked about the specific job opening that I was matched with. Finally, I had a longer Zoom meeting with the technical team. They quizzed me on my knowledge of the specific topics relevant to the job, and they presented me with a programming problem so they could observe how I thought it through and solved it.

    Questions covered REST concepts, data structures, hashing algorithms, database trade-offs, etc.
