Here at Genesys, we live CX every day, both internally and externally. There is a sincerity at Genesys that speaks to the integrity of our employees. We truly care about our customers and each other. You can see it in our daily interactions. We say hi to each other in the hallways. We support one another and encourage each other to achieve our professional and personal goals like windsurfing, writing or exploring the world.
We strive to innovate in all we do and believe that great ideas can come from anyone. Our Gennovators program encourages team members from all disciplines to create, improve and dream. Some of greatest breakthroughs have come from these critical thinkers/doers. Because an idea is just that until it’s executed. And we want to create that success for our customers too.
Genesys has a global employee-driven charitable program called “Make A Difference.” This unique program is a true reflection of our employees’ desire to give back. Examples include a global food drive, resulting in over a ton of food given to people in need, walks for cancer, bicycle rides for disease cures, collecting shoes for those in need and much, much more. Genesys makes it easy for our employees to give their time by encouraging a minimum of 12 volunteer hours a year, paid for by Genesys.
We also have fun. On a regular basis, we start a day together and end a day together with a breakfast and a happy hour. We take the time to celebrate the great work we and our customers accomplish.
Overall, our goal is to make it easy for each other, for our customers, and for their customers. Keeping things simple, moving fast, respecting one another, and creating an environment for good work to thrive is what makes Genesys Genesys.

Genesys is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees.
We are Genesys and we believe in supporting the communities we work and live in across the globe. Though the Genesys Make A Difference Community Action Program, we encourage our employees to come together to make an impact in their local communities one action at a time. We do so by supporting, sponsoring, and funding events at which employees offer their time, energy, and goodwill to others. Make A Difference is proud of its contributions and of the efforts employees make to better our communities. Funds from our program are distributed to help non-profit organizations in our community in the areas of Health, Youth and Education and the Environment.
We encourage action locally and globally, where bold thinking leads to lasting impact. Our support of Wine to Water contributes to the fulfillment of a simple mission – providing clean water to needy people around the world. Through a variety of activities, Wine to Water gives the fortunate population an opportunity to fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. The results are clean water and sanitation for residents of many underserved countries including Sudan, India, Cambodia, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Haiti.
We are a proud supporter of the University of California - San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital, where healthcare professionals devote their careers to saving lives. The hospital offers children and their families compassionate care at the forefront of scientific discovery, with more than 150 experts in 50 medical specialties serving patients throughout Northern California and beyond. Our contribution to UCSF helps fuel technology for new advances in treatment and innovation over illness.
Avid cyclists throughout the Genesys community (Canada, France and the United States) came together to support the community by riding in the 2012 Tour de Cure organized by the American Diabetes Association. By supporting and riding in the Tour de Cure, Genesys demonstrates its commitment to the community and other important charitable organizations in our cause to save the world one action at a time.
“We’re proud to join the teams from other leading companies in support of a cure for diabetes,” said Paul Segre, President and CEO of Genesys. “Our employees have a lot of practice going the extra mile for our customers and community, and they are showing one more way through the Tour de Cure that we can all make a difference.”
Genesys recognizes those who reach new heights in attitude and altitude. A Genesys team took on the Three Peaks Challenge to scale the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales as part of a fundraiser for Cancer Research UK. The challenge consists of 26 miles of ascents and descents and approximately 500 miles of travelling between mountains and all within 24 hours. Physical training for this event was surpassed only by the team’s fundraising, often in memory of a loved one affected by cancer.

Advice to Management
Keep up on communicating with employees. Understand what they need and making sure they know what's available to them.
It's a pity to hear employees got up set about the lack of resource/support simply because they are not aware of what's available to them.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Genesys (Indianapolis, IN) in March 2018.
Not particularly difficult interview process, I received a call from a recruiter after I received an internal referral. I was interviewed by my current manager (senior software engineer) and a staff software engineer about fundamental object oriented language concepts, such as the advantages and disadvantages of using linkedlists vs arrays and so forth. What access levels does public and global provide etc. and more questions like that. I also had ML on my resume, and I was asked about some fundamental ML questions such as what is an LSTM, explain how a perceptron works, what is forward and back propogation, and so forth. It seems like they will ask you technical questions around what your resume says, but will not ask you to do data structures and algorithms questions, which is a little different from many other companies. I simply had one phone call and I received an offer.
