More than 30 years ago, GeoEngineers’ founders envisioned an employee-owned company of technical experts known for their integrity and strong client relationships. We have made good on our founders’ vision, earning a reputation as creative thinkers and trusted advisors who work in partnership with our clients on their most challenging projects.
Thanks to these enduring client bonds, GeoEngineers has grown from a small consulting partnership to a talented, multidisciplinary team of more than 360 people who work in 14 offices nationwide. Our record of success is evident in the more than 40,000 projects we’ve completed worldwide for a broad range of public and private clients.
Where your business needs are connected to the natural or built environment, we have unmatched expertise to support your projects. Our unique approach combines traditional earth science and engineering consulting services with state of the art technology solutions that help manage data and reduce risk.
Throughout our history, we have continually adapted to changing client needs by expanding our technical expertise. This includes initiatives such as GeoEngineers’ technology development team, which works closely with scientists and other subject-matter experts to build software solutions that help clients efficiently manage environmental data, meet reporting requirements and streamline their business processes.
Our staff is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the client organizations and communities we serve. Each employee has a highly developed specialty, whether they are an engineer, scientist, software developer or one of our other business professionals. This talent, combined with broad employee ownership and deeply held values of respect and trust, result in a remarkable team. We think you’ll agree.

Conserving resources — including water, energy, land, habitat, minerals or materials — is imperative in today’s competitive environment and is the focus of many of our clients’ sustainability initiatives. Our biologists, geologists, engineers and technology specialists work every day with clients looking to make the most of their resources and build for the future.
At GeoEngineers, we believe that, in addition to conservation, sustainability can also mean optimizing existing systems, as with our work maximizing ground source heat pump performance, or returning land to more beneficial use, as in our brownfields initiatives like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Headquarters project. All of these approaches can help make the best use of resources, reduce lifecycle costs and provide long-term benefits to the community.
GeoEngineers’ expertise in earth systems makes us the ideal team to help clients explore these paths to sustainability. Here are just a few examples of how our science and technology expertise has yielded cost-effective, innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients:
Used our specialized skills to design new marshes and shoreline protection features along the Louisiana Gulf Coast
Helped a consortium of utility companies, university scientists and a state agency determine where to site a geologic carbon sequestration facility
Worked with a city municipality to maximize stormwater storage and infiltration using a natural aquifer
Rejuvenated a contaminated industrial site to enable a new, sustainable commercial development
Designed an in-stream irrigation diversion that benefits both people and fish
Helped design the first Living Building in Washington state

GeoEngineers had supportive staff that were willling to guide my career development. I appreciated the company culture and focus on employees' well-being.
Difficulty moving from one project to another at times
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GeoEngineers.
I received a phone call from a Human Resource Representative. They asked me a few questions about the information I knew and knowledge I have acquired to determine if I had really studied what I told them I had. Then I was set up for an interview, then a second interview after a week, then received an offer the same week as my interview.
Easy, no hassell. Great company and great benefits from what I've seen thus far.
