Giant Eagle serves more than 5 million customers annually at nearly 400 retail locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.  It takes an incredible team of people working behind the scenes to keep our shelves full of the great products our customers expect. We operate 24 hours a day/365 days a year at five perishable and non-perishable distribution centers in Cleveland and Pittsburgh, which also serve as hubs and training centers for our drivers.

Internship Development Program (IDP)

Each year the intern positions we hire for vary based on Corporate, Retail Operations (Market District/Giant Eagle), Retail Operations (GetGo), and Retail Support Center (warehouse) needs. 

  • Experience Required: Undergraduate Junior or Senior at an accredited four-year University
  • Training Program Duration: 10 weeks

Intern Leadership Development Program (ILDP)

  • Experience Required: College Graduate who participated in the Internship Development Program
  • Training Program Duration: 3 year retail department rotation

Store Leader Development Program (SLDP)

  • Experience Required: Multi-department (internal applicants) or 3+ years retail leadership experience (external applicants)
  • Training Program Duration: 9 -12 months training/shadowing

Team Leader Development Program (TLDP)

  • Experience Required: Retail experience or Store Leader recommendation
  • Training Program Duration: 10 weeks (internals) and 13 weeks (externals)
