    Pros

Good pay-outs and total comp if you produced.

    Cons

Businesses are to isolated and don't cross sell enough.

    Advice to Management

Too late now, but bailing on Equities was the right thing to do.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Gleacher & Company (New York, NY) in February 2013.

    Interview

On-campus interview. Met with analyst and director. They were very late in the recruiting process. Direct seemed very uninterested and analyst was super arrogant and gave off a vibe that he thought he was really good (cocky). Standard questions like why Gleacher and why small middle market firm instead of bulge bracket. Technicals were hard even though analyst knew that the university didn't have a finance major.
