I worked at Glenview Capital Management full-time (More than a year)
very team-oriented atmosphere
comfortable office space
impressive group of Partners, very smart guys
Extremely, extremely political enviornment - it seemed as if you were in high school instead of a professional company.
Horribly run HR department, there were complaints about them re-occuringly amongst employees.
Hierarchy of upper management is laughable
Zero work / life balance.
Firings out of nowhere and with no reason.
Advice to Management
Send out questionnaires to company and see how they feel about HR and those supporting HR.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glenview Capital Management (New York, NY) in September 2011.
I was mostly asked the generic interview questions. Walk through resume. What are my strengths and weaknesses? What was a setback I have experienced? Why am I interested in Glenview? More of a "fit" interview, nothing really technical. Research team seemed interesting, great potential for learning (both on-the-job and through training). Know your resume well.
