Golden 1 Credit Union has been named by Forbes as one of the Best Employers in California. Forbes partnered with Statista, a market research company, to identify organizations across the country liked best by their employees. These companies were selected based on an independent survey from a sample of more than 80,000 employees working for organizations with at least 500 employees in the U.S. Golden 1 is one of four credit unions included nationwide and is the only credit union in California named to the list! http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMeaH

Pros

I began working as a temp in the Contact Center but was offered a permanent position as my hard work, dedication, and drive stood out to management. Leadership has always been supportive of my goals

Cons

Every company has it's opportunities; however, Golden 1 has very strategic processes in hearing from its employees on how could the company be better and creates action plans to make changes as

    Difficult Interview
    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Golden 1 Credit Union (United States) in Jun 2021

    Interview

The role was farmed through a recruiter. The interviewers seemed unprepared, uninterested and had very little to say about the role, nor did they seem to want to get to know me as a person or about my background, history or technical skill beyond some really high level basics and a few functional questions about my last role.

They asked a few technical throwaway questions, then I drove the rest of the interview asking about documentation, technical details, oncall, infrastructure, pain points, staffing / structure, endpoints, uptime expectation, environment constraints etc - all of which they seemed annoyed that I was asking about in the first place.

After a follow up with the recruiter - I was informed that they went with an internal candidate, so I am of the belief that they were never even interested in interviewing external candidates for this position and were doing it as a formality.

I am marking this as difficult because I basically felt like I interviewed myself and simultaneously sold myself to an audience that wasn't interested from the start.

If you got a call regarding 2 critical outage based issues, how would you prioritize.
