I have been working at Golfsmith full-time

    Pros

Great place to work, many outside activities and flexibility with time. Small work force, so great communication amongst the team.

    Cons

Lots of work on weekends and holidays. Office building is a bit dated and limited to the general public.

    Advice to Management

Establish a more defined employee and job description manual. Be more consistent with procedures and the calendar of events. More team building activities.

    Sales Associate Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Livingston, NJ
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Golfsmith (Livingston, NJ).

    Interview

An interview with the general manager and sales manager. They are just really testing your basic knowledge and ability to perform in a retail setting. The sales associate is an entry level job so you do not need to have many years of experience. Most of the training is on the job, however you really need to have good people skills.

    Interview Questions

    • Do you have any sales experience or experience working in retail?   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I did not do any negotiation.
