I worked at Golin full-time
Golin strives to be progressive and to inclusive. The standard set by Fred Cook from the top down is one that encourages employees to go out break some eggs.
If you are on the McDonald's or Nintendo teams, it can be difficult to get exposure to other clients without push back. The hiring process is rigid for those teams and therefore they don't like to lose staff on those teams even if they stay in the family.
I applied online. I interviewed at Golin in June 2016.
A day after applying I received a phone call asking if I had a few minutes for a phone interview - I enthusiastically accepted. We spoke about my work experience and education as usual. The woman on the phone was very nice and bubbly and seemed to think I would be a good fit based on my experience. I was told would she would forward my information to someone else and get back to me within a week. A week went by and I hadn't heard from anyone at Golin. I followed up with a brief message when my phone call went unanswered. Another week went by, so I sent a brief follow up email. Three weeks after my phone interview I receive an email informing me that they have chosen not to pursue candidacy and I still wonder why not.
