Our President, Eric Goodwin, founded Goodwin Hospitality in 1999. Starting in the dish pit at his father’s restaurant as a 12 year old, Eric had spent his life in hospitality operations. Prior to starting Goodwin Hospitality, Eric was a Regional Director at Chili’s, a General Manager at the Common Man and an independent restaurant owner. Those positions led him to many underwhelming and ineffective meetings with local hospitality recruiters. Most of the recruiters he was dealing with were not hospitality peers, did not understand the industry and did not take the time to make the personal connections that business thrives on. With a young family, Eric set out to start a brand that would change all of that. His focus would be, and continues to be, on building local relationships and being a hospitality industry expert.

    Pros

    Goodwin Hospitality has provided a wonderful way for me to find "flexibility" of life and combine that with a uncapped earning potential. I've made more money each year I've been with the company. Additionally, I now have the time to attend all my children's events and eat dinner with my family each night.

    Cons

    Some long hours but they are hours I choose to work. Upside outweighs the downside in every scenario.
