Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Diversity & Inclusion at Grabango

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Grabango (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2022
InterviewI was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn. Phone screening was fine, but I was surprised by the manager's lack of tact during the second round. I've never been spoken to in such an impolite, abrupt way and she openly laughed at me during the interview when I coughed from drinking water. Line of questioning felt very superior. The issue I take isn't with the lack of offer, but with the lack of politeness which reflects poorly on the company. I have had other interviews where I did not receive an offer, but everyone remained cordial. My advise would be to get off your high horse. You're not interviewing for Citadel, so rudeness is not expected as part of the interview.Interview
