Interview
I was reached out to to start the process, but the interviewer didn't have availability til about a week out. Got on the call, it seemed to go well. I was told I would be sent an assessment as a next step that day and that they hope to make an offer mid the next week. Great. I send the assessment back asap the same day, and the next day, I get a decline email because they filled the role. I feel terrible about this candidate experience. Firstly, I was lied to about the offer timeline, and secondly, my time was not respected at all. I can totally see continuing to interview if you have an offer out to someone or are planning to send it, but don't lie about it or ask someone to take the time to do a test. They could have waited a day to send me the test if the offer didn't turn out like they hoped.Tell me about your experience.
