Graphiq was a very special company with a "teach to fish" mentality. It was an incredible learning environment, with freedom to fail and a huge focus on autonomy
Like all early-stage companies, hours were long and there were ups and downs. But, that's how you learn the most!
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Graphiq (New York, NY) in October 2016.
Over a four week period, I had six job interviews with Graphiq. Each of my interactions with Graphiq staff — which included numerous emails, phone conversations, and face-to-face meetings — was very professional. Each staff member knew a great deal about the company, its mission, and the job I was applying for (data visualization editor).
Even though I didn’t end up receiving a job offer, my overall experience was very positive.
Details: I had three phone interviews, each lasting approximately thirty minutes, and each approximately one week apart. Then I had three in-person interviews. Each of the in-person interviews was one-on-one, approximately thirty minutes long, and held at Graphiq’s NYC office all on the same day. (Note: I interviewed with four employees. Two employees interviewed me first on the phone and then later in-person.)
On August 11, 2015 we rebranded our company and launched a new suite of products aimed at the online publishing industry. Our expanded vision necessitated a more fitting name, and we're excited to bring Graphiq to market.
