The company is very serious about being non-partisan. They say to give the facts and trust viewers to make their decisions. In the past year or two, the company has announced a program to help employees financially who have a catastrophe, and matched funds to it. They recently announced matching funds to the Red Cross help with Hurricane Relief. I'm glad they are caring about us this way. Benefits costs are controlled and the company is generous with HSA money to employees. PTO rolls over each year.
If you work in a small market, you will have to relocate to move up.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gray Television (Parkersburg, WV) in August 2011.
I spoke to the station manager on the phone briefly. He then asked me to come into the station. we spoke about my previous carrier. We dis discuss the position briefly but not into detail. He told me the position would be available in the next month. I never heard from him again.
