I worked at Great American Group full-time (More than 10 years)
Very interesting work, great exposure to clients. Good comp. Lots of room for advancement. Analysts quickly move up in responsibility. Fun culture within the appraisal group.
Lots of turnover. Public company policies.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Great American Group.
It was a 30-minute back-to-back interview on campus with 2 guys, a project manager and a financial analyst. No behavioral questions whatsoever. They had me briefly go over my resume and asked about my Excel skills, but the majority of the time was having me ask them questions. The conversation felt very one-sided and awkward at times. It seemed like they were not interested in my qualifications as a candidate and it makes me wonder why I was even selected for an interview in the first place. To top it all off, the younger interviewer, who was only 2 years out of college, gave me a limp handshake at the end.
