Let’s start with what we are. Grow Financial is a credit union working for the benefit of our members, not for the profit of corporate shareholders. As a financial cooperative, we’re really more of a family, employees and members coming together for the good ... Read more

Mission: What unites us is a common sense of purpose, the connection between our work, ourselves and our members. Because we understand we’re in it together and together is how we grow.

Grow Financial – Why Work For Us?

The year was 1955, and our first office opened in a broom closet on MacDill Air Force Base when a group of civilian employees set up the first credit union serving the military community of Tampa Bay.

From that small start, we just kept growing. Over the years, new residents arrived in the area and we opened the doors of membership to welcome people from all walks of life.

Our roots run deep in the communities we serve, and we stay close to people’s lives because we’ve never forgotten our purpose: to help everyone in our family grow a better life.

Nothing is more personal than money. That’s exactly how we do business – personally. In every store. Every transaction. Every conversation. At Grow, we believe service means more. It commits us to life beyond the everyday, where we come to understand our members and see their lives from the inside.

This involves going beyond member service. We establish meaningful connections, so we can focus on what matters most to each member, in the moment.

Yes, our work is serious, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We live by our values: Be Bold. Be Great. Have Fun. Especially the fun part. Boring just isn’t done here.

On the outside, we look like any other bank or credit union. It’s on the inside where you see the difference. It’s in our people. They reflect the spirit of our vibrant communities. They share a passion for service, working to make the lives of our members better. And they make Grow such a wonderful place to work by celebrating the richness of our diversity.

Service to others is deeply rooted in our company, and in our people. Giving back is simply our way of getting involved and working to improve the quality of life for us all.

Through the Grow Foundation, a private non-profit foundation, Grow is committed to the financial, educational, social and physical wellness of our communities by supporting charitable organizations throughout our market areas.

We also contribute sweat equity, and our people are often seen collecting donations of school supplies, serving meals to the underprivileged or teaching the developmentally disadvantaged the basics of personal finance to empower their independence.

I applied online. I interviewed at Grow Financial.

    Interview

First interview was with HR, which was very easy since the woman was nice and asked general questions about me. Second interview was in person and I was asked some situational questions. Overall, everyone was very nice there and the interviews were not difficult.
