We aren’t out to simply feed people. We want to engage and delight our customers through food to come to work for.
Many of our employees joined us years ago and have built successful careers at Guckenheimer. We invest in your development from the very first day, and have been recognized as one of America’s Top 125 training companies for the last 3 years. We are growing fast and have many exciting opportunities at all levels.
Join The Family
We are a family oriented company. The first thing our employees say when asked why they work at Guckenheimer is, “the people I work with.” Our teams are diverse and everyone is committed to creating an unforgettable corporate dining experience.
At Guckenheimer, a strong work-life balance is accessible. Our cafes are usually not open at night, holidays, and weekends, so you can spend time doing what you like with who you like.
You know that feeling you have at your favorite restaurant? The one where they really know you? We work hard to find and keep people who excel at hospitality. We take pride in our greatest asset, our people!
When it comes to describing our people, our customers say it best:
We trace our roots back to 1963, when founders Stewart and Jeanie Ritchie began selling artisan sandwiches at Stanford Medical School to finance Stewart’s medical education. Today, we have more than 3,000 employees who serve more than 400 locations in 36 states.
In April 2017, Guckenheimer became part of ISS World Wide. ISS is a global facility services company with a focus on excellence and innovation.
As we continue to grow, there are a few core values which will never change—our dedication to great tasting food, family-oriented customer service, and focus on eating smart for peak performance and well-being.
If the food isn’t great, none of the rest matters. We hire people who are compulsively curious about food, provide them with the best ingredients and task them with preparing food with care. We have a unique approach to innovation and our local teams play a big part in keeping our menus fresh and exciting.
I have been working at Guckenheimer full-time (More than 3 years)
Management cares about success, and good benefits like free meals, free pair of shoes, good employee benefits, and normal work hours (M-F)
Need a little more support from corporate staff. However, regional leadership team in SoCal is top notch. Maybe a little bit more recognition and rewards in order to promote high performers.
Advice to Management
Keep communication open, and keep employees engaged.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Guckenheimer (Santa Clara, CA).
Attended a job fair, had already completed application online and was given a face to face interview by an area manager. Interview was relaxed was offered snacks and water.
