Mission: Above all else, HCA is committed to the care and improvement of human life.
A trip down memory lane with a fantastic tribute to one of our co-founders, Tommy Frist, Jr.
Always putting the patient first in all that he has done and the way that he built this great company!
HCA stands for the best practices of medicine, using our reach, scale and stability to transform healthcare and help patients and communities thrive. HCA Healthcare has been named to Ethisphere’s list of “World’s Most Ethical Companies” for eight years in a row.
Facilities and teams across HCA share a common culture – an unparalleled commitment to care for patients, families, communities and each other. No matter the role, everyone at HCA is a caregiver. Whether you work in a physician practice or freestanding emergency center; in hospital labor and delivery, oncology, pharmacy, food and nutrition or accounting; enterprise IT service management, clinical services, or human resources, we all play a part in fulfilling HCA Healthcare’s mission: caring for and improving human life.
HCA’s unprecedented scale and unequalled commitment to excellent patient care creates unlimited clinical and administrative career opportunities. Whether it’s a research and teaching hospital equipped with the latest technology, clinical trials testing groundbreaking medical procedures, or a small-town setting that combines clinical excellence with the intimacy of a community hospital, you’ll find what you are looking for in a career at HCA.
HCA also offers numerous graduate medical education programs to train physicians, nurse residency programs that help orient new graduate nurses for career success, and executive residency and leadership development programs for future healthcare industry executives and innovators. Whatever your career goal in healthcare, HCA can help you achieve it.
Healthcare facilities, leaders and team members are diverse, but share a common culture committed to compassionate, expert and high-quality care for patients, families, communities and each other. Respect and inclusion are part of the fabric of HCA, shown by our commitment to offer culturally competent care to families speaking more than 150 different languages.
Nursing at HCA
Nurses are the cornerstone of our mission to provide exceptional care to our patients. Nurses at HCA have the opportunity to grow and develop in their careers across a multitude of roles within HCA’s national network, and influence patient care far beyond the walls of one hospital. Because of HCA’s scale, when nurses discover best practices for nursing care here it changes the practice of nursing across the country – and the world. HCA nurses help develop innovative solutions to improve patient care and enhance the nursing experience, and HCA uses technology that enables nurses to spend more time where they want to be: at the patient’s bedside. The foundation of career advancement is continued education, and HCA provides these opportunities to nursing professionals.
I have been working at HCA Healthcare full-time (More than 8 years)
This company is very supportive of it's leadership, and invests into our growth. They also tend to promote from within. The culture is wonderful as are the relationships among our peers. HCA is also a very ethical company, which is important to me.
I can't think of many cons to working here. This has been a great place to work and I hope that I have many more years with HCA.
Advice to Management
I hope that HCA continues to be such a strong supporter of it's staff and leadership. I appreciate all of the opportunities that I have been given here.
I applied online. I interviewed at HCA Healthcare (Miramar, FL).
First I have a phone interview asking for my experience, then another interview in person with another team members. A third panel interview with additional IT management for technical questions.
