I worked at HDL (More than 5 years)
Excellent opportunities for growth when the company started, opportunities to learn multiple assays and how to use various laboratory instrumentation.
Became under investigation of the Department of Justice, filed for bankruptcy, laid off a large amount of people without offering any severance, was not transparent with employees at all. Also, many departments were run based purely on favoritism resulting in many deserving people being overlooked for promotions.
Advice to Management
People who are in management positions who were placed there because of favoritism need to be removed, and people from the outside with the appropriate amount of experience need to be hired to replace them. This will solve a majority of the issues.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at HDL.
brief. standard. management read off of paper, and attempted to write down notes, but not keeping up because they haven't learn great note taking skills. No real input. No further questions. Seemed uninterested.
