Hello there. HR (large hospital) contacted me with my new position’s salary offer. I would like to counter it. I did the math and they offered me exactly where my years of service fell on the salary range. With that being said, has anyone in healthcare at a hospital been able to negotiate based off merit, skills, certifications, etc. I know I got the job based off of those things, so why shouldn’t my salary reflect that? Hiii.. I am in the process of accepting a Research Coordinator position and was wondering what the salary would be or what I should request? I have been a Medical Assistant for over 15 years and have a total of 22 years in healthcare. In additional, I have a Master’s degree in Management that concentrates in Public Administration. Could someone kindly give me an idea so I know I get the salary I deserve?, this job is based in NYC.

ConsIt has had some problems in the past, but it is looking a lot better and I think the Hospital has made some great changes with the new managment that is here now. I think it is going to have a good

InterviewThe interview was very open and friendly. It felt like it will be a good environment to work in. The interview was with the Director of Nursing and the Human Resources Manager. They were prepared for the interview, and had some great questions. Also, we went over what benefits would be available for me if hired.
They spoke about how they have a very positive work environment, and are wanting someone who can work as a team, and stay positive. They asked how I feel about teamwork, and helping others out?Answer Question
