Travel accident insurance: HUB’s Travel Accident benefit covers injuries and death sustained during business travel. We also provide 24/7 access to personal and emergency assistance when you are traveling for business or personal reasons, including dependents traveling with you.

Flexible spending & parking and transit programs: Flexible spending accounts allow you to pay for eligible health and/or dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. You can also use pre-tax dollars to pay for parking and transit expenses and can enroll in the program at any point during the year.

Extras

MyHUB Discounts: All HUB employees have access to discounts on automotive, electronic, consumer, educational assistance, home security, travel, home, and work-life products and services.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): We understand it can be difficult to manage family, work-related and personal issues. That’s why we offer an EAP at no cost to you. To help guide you through difficult situations or simply assist you with day-to-day tasks like finding a last-minute dog sitter, trained professionals work with you as you search for solutions. Group auto & home insurance: You have the option of purchasing personal lines of auto and home insurance at discounted rates.

    Pros

    Strong sense of ownership and accountability in your role; Supportive leadership; Team performance bonuses (we are all in this together); Over 450 agencies locally run but organically united - this makes HUB International incredibly flexible and gives this insurance broker unique bargaining power with insurance carriers and third party services on behalf of the employer groups it serves.

    Cons

    Rapid and constant growth has its challenges, but they are absolutely worth it.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to fold in the new acquisitions into one unified organism that hums, much like folding unique ingredients into one superior dish, or adding musical notes to create a symphony.

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HUB International (Los Angeles, CA) in October 2016.

    Interview

    They were kind enough to be discreet as I was employed elsewhere. They were also willing to meet up with me after hours and though they needed me right away, allowed me to give my employer a 2 week notice. I met with one of the agents and the HR person. Though I did not have all the experience they were looking for, they liked my enthusiasm and felt I was trainable and felt we have the same core ethics.
