I worked at Hakim Optical full-time (More than 5 years)
Great place to learn, you learn how to fix problems and make due with what you have. If you can learn how to adjust and sell everything here, you can do extremely well anywhere.
Lots of defective frames and coatings, difficulty with fitting lenses due to technology of progressives when client is downgrading from brand name lenses.
Advice to Management
Give opticians and employees a voice rather than ignoring their opinions. Otherwise this leads them to just hand out head office numbers for the client to call and complain since your employees hands are tied and they can't fix the issue of defective lenses and/or frames.
