Mission: Our mission at Harbor Freight Tools is to deliver value to the hardworking by providing high quality tools at the lowest prices.
It's only through our people that we can achieve more every day. Harbor Freight teams across the country donated our entire supply of personal protective equipment items to front line hospitals with 24-hour emergency rooms. These much-needed supplies included N95 masks, face shields, and nitrile gloves. We wanted to thank our associates for coming together during the toughest of times and embracing our Core Principle of Doing the Right Thing.
At Harbor Freight, we value the health and safety of our associates and our customers above all else. We aggressively clean and sanitize our stores regularly, limit the number of customers in our stores at any given time to allow for social distancing, and provide associates with masks and gloves, consistent with the CDC's guidelines. Thank you to our associates - for helping customers find the tools to get the job done, sending product to our stores, or helping us do what we do best.
Dear Prospective Harbor Freight Associate,
At Harbor Freight Tools, we are passionate about one thing: making great tools affordable for our hardworking customers. We’re looking for great associates who share that passion.
I started the company with my dad when I was 17 because we saw the opportunity to provide hardworking Americans with quality tools at affordable prices. I loved the idea of delivering value to folks whose work I respected in fields like carpentry, welding and auto repair.
Today, we are still a family-owned company, and we treat our 20,000 associates like family. We have great benefits, flexible hours that allow you to have a life outside your job and opportunities for career advancement.
We are growing rapidly—we’re opening two new stores every week and introducing hundreds of new products every month. We need great associates to join our family. I hope you’ll consider a career at Harbor Freight Tools.
President and Founder
Harbor Freight Tools
Harbor Freight Tools believes in supporting the communities where we live and work through monetary donations, our tools and through company-sponsored volunteer efforts led by our awesome Harbor Freight associates.
The Harbor Freight Tools Associate Emergency Relief Fund is a charitable organization providing emergency assistance to associates of HFT and their families who require financial assistance due to a catastrophic event or a personal crisis.
Harbor Freight made an initial contribution to open the Fund and currently matches associate contributions on a two-for-one dollar basis. One of Harbor Freight's core principles is “Community,” which means that we believe in giving back, and that is why we encourage each of our associates to give what they can to help those in need. Every year at the corporate office we host "Splash for Cash" an opportunity to generate funds by bonding with your fellow associates.

Darlene Walsh, District Manager

Great pay and you get promoted quick
None as long as you keep to yourself
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Harbor Freight Tools in May 2019.
Interviewers were respectful, quick, and cut to the chase. All questions were relevant and to test if you were truly the right candidate they were looking for to fill the position.
