    Negative Outlook

I worked at Harley Davidson of Yuba City (More than a year)

    Pros

The atmosphere of a Harley shop is incomparable to any other. This goes for the customer and employee base as well. The discount is good. The hours and day to day operations are a dream.

    Cons

The new management is foreign to the motorcycle world and is very micromanaged. There is a controller who was put into effect awhile back that has a reputation for firing you if you are put in a situation where you have to point your finger at her, which happens very often. The CEO is sexist and it's a boy's/man's world. I was told to dress cuter, wear more make up, was denied training on the systems that I needed to work with (despite instruction from the HD corp.) and was ultimately let go because I complained about a sexual harassment situation.

    Advice to Management

There is so much. Training people as hired so that they are able to do their job. Policy and procedures with a job description as well as all hiring paperwork should be provided before an employee hits the floor. Micromanaging takes away power from department heads, which takes away from performance. Sexual harassment paperwork should be signed at the time of hire and maybe a seminar when things are this rampant. The CEO should take leadership/communication or professional business practice type workshops. The controller is overwhelmed and needs her job redistributed.

    Motorclothes Manager Interview

    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Harley Davidson of Yuba City (Yuba City, CA) in July 2016.

    Interview

I went through 5 interviews over the process of 2 weeks. Every single interviewer never gave their position or title. Paperwork was not signed after almost a week of employment. Wise auto group, who owns several car dealerships, decided to purchase their first motorcycle dealership. Due to this transition it was very hectic and confusing. Rami the CEO is unorganized and unprofessional which makes the entire organization walk on eggshells.

    Interview Questions

    • What do you see wrong with the current floor merchandising program?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

There were no negotiations or clear policy and procedures being followed. It was all very "on the fly."
