I worked at Harris Connect (More than 8 years)
I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with. Great team work, adaptability, and support. No micro-managing as we were trusted to actually know how to do our jobs. Flexible and laid-back environment. Good support and feedback from supervisor.
Corporate/management is rather clueless. Talent and hard work, of which there was a lot to be found in the employees, was essentially unrecognized. Low salaries.
Advice to Management
I understand that the product is basically obsolete with the popularity of social media, and I give credit that the company has tried to branch out into other areas such as fundraising and planned giving but ultimately it was too little, too late and the company just didn't get on the ball soon enough. That left a lot of very good, talented, and devoted employees to have their talents ultimately wasted.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Harris Connect (Norfolk, VA).
Very simple. Did not take very long to hear from recruiter once resume was submitted (less than a week). Came in and met with recruiter for initial interview and spelling test. My name was then passed on to a supervisor, who called to schedule an interview, again, in a very timely manner. Went over job description and day-to-day duties, salary, etc. Not at all a difficult interview.
