I have been working at Havas Lynx full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There's a lot of potential here and the recent hiring of a new president (for Lynx) may improve things. The office is very nice, colleagues are friendly. There's considerable freedom; hours are flexible and you can work from home. It's a big plus that Lynx is part of a much larger network. There are opportunities to work abroad, for example.

    Cons

Currently Lynx has lost steam due to very little day-to-day involvement on the part of upper management. There's very little support. You're left to float. Delays last months...and months. Turnover is very high.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to get to know the people who work for you. Invest in understanding and improving how teams work together and with clients. It's not enough to hold an occasional all-staff meeting. Communication needs to be ongoing.

    Associate Art Director Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Havas Lynx (New York, NY) in June 2015.

    Interview

The interview process was great. Initially, I had been brought in to interview for a copywriter position (a mixup in HR) but it turned out to my benefit. After seeing my portfolio, the writer I was speaking with sent me to the art side, where I chatted with the ECD and two other art directors. They were both extremely open and knowledgable, and took the time to ask me what I wanted from my career, which was a pleasant surprise for an interview.
