You're invited to join a dynamic group of men, women, and young adults who serve Health First, its hospitals and affiliates, and the community. Our volunteers are men and women of all ages and walks of life. Each volunteer brings his or her own special skills and experience, but shares a common purpose, too. Our volunteers all have in common their own special skills, experience and willingness to help and comfort patients, and provide support to our staff. When you become a volunteer, you always receive more than you give. Some of the most pleasant moments enjoyed by our patients are moments given by volunteers.
We have more than 1,000 members ranging in age from 15 to 90+! Training is provided in each service assignment. Volunteers are acquainted and familiarized with each Health First hospital and the Volunteer Services Department during a comprehensive orientation program. We'll teach you everything you need to know to handle your new responsibilities.
A few of our volunteer opportunities include:
For more than two decades, our mission has remained the same, to care for you now and into the future. We are committed to becoming an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), not just in name, but in function and experience. In a true IDN, hospitals, health insurance and providers work together to treat the whole person and focus on wellness—instead of just treating disease.
A lot of opportunities
The location could be boring sometimes. Really close to Orlando which is a PRO
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Health First (Melbourne, FL) in December 2017.
They make the interview process very easy and convenient. The initial one was done via telephone and then there was a face to face interview. I am still waiting to hear if I have been selected or not but it's been a good experience so far.
