Upscale Environment as far as gyms go
Not a very demanding job provided you can keep the place clean, make smalltalk with client, properly adjust machines, have towels retrieved from locker rooms and washed, dried, and folded once every hour or two.
Good part time or summer job for young people or students.
Mostly older clients.
Not much room for advancement unless you get more advanced certification.
On your feet frequently.
Advice to Management
Perhaps spend less time in office and interact with all employees and clients to gain
insight into your own business instead of putting a badgering sales people to draw blood from a stone.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Healthtrax (Hartford, CT).
Had an initial phone screening and then invited to interview and have a tour of the Center. After the interview with the fitness director I moved forward to meet with the Executive Director. I was asked to put the manager through a brief sample workout.
