I worked at Helaba full-time (More than 5 years)
Nice people mostly. Relaxed working environment. Great benefits: dental, medical, vision, 401K.
No career advancement. Processes are outdated and systems not user friendly. Poor logic applied and no way of changing that as everything is mostly dictated by home office. Some managers are tyrannical and petty. Some employees utterly incompetent.
Advice to Management
Stand by your teams and people! If you don't reward good employees, they will go away and you will end up with the worst.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Helaba (New York, NY) in December 2009.
Please be as detailed as possible - everything from your initial communications with the company, organization and planning of the interview, number and type of interviews, and any advice you might offer to other interview candidates. Bonus points for your perceptions of the people, office, and work culture.
