Mission: Helios’ mission is to work with leaders to help them build a culture of intention that allows them to attract, grow and retain exceptional teams.
I have been working at Helios HR full-time (More than 3 years)
Helios is a great place to work because the organization is intentional about listening to employees and actively takes steps to facilitate professional development, foster a team environment, and admits when certain approaches haven't worked in the past so that course corrections can be made. I'm always surprised when leaders can't bring themselves to admit that there might be a better way of doing things; Kathy has a big heart and is open to constructive ideas on how to make the business and employee experience better, which really has a direct and positive impact on employees and clients.
With consulting you're going to be sometimes put in situations that challenge you professionally. If you're not looking to be challenged and get out of your comfort zone then Helios would be a difficult place to work.
Advice to Management
Keep listening to employees and clients - I'm excited by all of the changes I've seen the last few years
I applied online. I interviewed at Helios HR (Tysons, VA) in February 2017.
Got a call from Lisa who made the experience exciting and fairly easy, (the hard part was waiting for the employer to decide on which candidate they wanted). Lisa kept me in the loop with each update in real time. I never had to wonder where I was in the process
